One year ago today I was completing the Doctor Who odyssey by returning to Television Centre and dancing with John one more time!

Torchwood US Cancelled….For Now

Over the last couple of months there have talks between BBC Worldwide Productions and Fox in the US about creating an America version of Torchwood.

It was going to be written by Russell T Davies and would have starred John Barrowman.  Rumoured to be a US sister show of Torchwood not a re-imaging, it would’ve also have been a full 13 episode run.

However, as predicted by many, Fox have decided not to go forward with the commission.  This didn’t come as much surprise as the Fox network wouldn’t really have appreciated Russell’s Torchwood view of the world shall we say!

The good news is BBC Worldwide have confirmed that other US networks are interested in the show.  So Captain Jack may make to the land of the free afterall.

One question about all this though, what does this mean for Torchwood here in the UK?  Is it gone for good or is the rumoured 4th series still in the works?

Torchwood – Series Four

In all the craziness of the last few days, I forgot to mention that during Comic Con it was confirmed that Torchwood had been renewed for a forth series.

No news yet on whether it will be a proper 13 episode or ‘even’t affair nor whether it will stay on BBC 1.
